To much work to get off the trail. It is a good idea and I am sure it would work but I would just plug it and go. I have seen many tires get as many as 12 to 15 plugs in a sidewall and get off the trail with no problems.

This is meant for some much longer tears and even ones that are not completely straight. It may be loads of work, but if it saves a highdollar beadlock then it is well worth the time.
