I went to red River Parts and man do they have some toys. I already have something in mind for my new project. Evan, you ought to see these axles.

How much lift do you have to have to put rockwells under a suburban before the you can clear the oilpan? Can I use bumpstops to keep them out of the oilpan as well?

somebody with that name like uao85 maybe, had ~4 inch with rocks.

It would also depend on if in stock location or if you push the front axle forward. I had 12" on my k5 with rocks and wanted to lower it about 3" before I sold it. I had no bump stops though and axle pushed forward 10".

The center chunk sits 10" above the axle tube, IIRC, so, look and see how much room you have betwwen the center of the axle that is there now and measure up 10". That will tell you roughly how much lift you will need.

You will also need to decide whether you will run a pinion brake or not. They stick up higher than the chunk.........
