Tranny Rebuilder in San Antonio / New Braunfels

My 4L60-E started messing up on me today. In second it does not want to stay in second, just keeps shifting out for some reason.

Anyway, I am hoping a filter and fluid change will do the job, but if not. I will need someone in the San Antonio or New Braunfels area that can rebuild an auto tranny.

Hopefully something that will hold up to the 35s and not take a crap in 10k miles.

Suggestions or connections are welcome here........
Thanks,
Chris

Contact David at All State Gear, 210-922-7901. Tell him Manny with NV4500 referred you. David and the crew are good people who stand behind their work and are forthright, professional, and really laid back. They will deliver on what they promise and their prices are awesome.

They are located just south of the I35-I10 interchange. Real easy to get to.

Manny

I was told that because it is not slipping and only shifting in and out of gear that it may be a speed sensor or shift selinoid. Does anyone on here have any ideas?

It is a 94 Z-71 with 35 inch tires. The 35s have been on it since I bought it and the problem first started when it was cold and now does it all the time.

It shifts into 2nd and then downshifts back to 1st. 1st gear acts properly and shifts into second. It does not stay in 2nd though, it drops back down to 1st. If you get on it, it shiftes up into drive and seems to operate properly.

Thanks,
Chris

Not sure what the deal is with this thing. Took it out and ran it through the gears manually. Now it seems to be shifting properly.

Has it fixed itself or do I need to be looking at doing something here? It was never slipping, just shifting wrong rpms or back and forth from 2 and 1.
Thanks,
chris
