Will someone for the love of GOD!!!

Please start a Texas based racing organization similar to ECORS....

I desperately want to fill this need to buy a cheap cherokee, bolt on a few parts and try and destroy it in the name of fun.

Serioulsy thought, been wanting to do this type of racing for a long time and I can't believe there isn't a racing venue like this in Tx. There are so many different types of terrain to cover. I realize there are baja races in Texas already but a real series with different types of vehicles from almost stock to unlimited would probably do well and at least be a ton of fun.

I can't afford an ultra 4 buggy and I will most likely never be able to race the EMC in my jeep without a complete renovation but I would sure build me a "low buck" Class A race vehicle that could be competative in a ECORS style race.

I was told a while back (by the ECORS organizers) that they were looking for venues near or in Tx, but I believe they have changed hands since then and I haven't heard anything since. Still having a race or two that I could actually trailer to and back during a weekend doesn't seem like enough to make it worth it.

So how about it? I know most of you have tons of time on your hands to get this started right?

Neither of those is really even close to ECORS style racing. BRT has 3 races for the entire year and although I am not sure I wonder how many there are that race a "stock" or "stock mod" type class.

I don't know much about TORA and probably won't for a while since there is basically no information on their FB page and they don't have a website but it seems to me like it is basically BRT rebadged.

Thanks for looking though, I knew about those and they really aren't in the ballpark of what I would like to do. I could drive to the east coast and do ECORS as easy as I could drive to Amarillo from here

Suppose it's just a pipe dream.

I would like something like this as well. Like you,KOH just isn't in the budget. I could finish the heep, but travel cost, food, entry fees, 1-2 weeks off work, etc. Would just kill my family. something here in texas like BRT would be real nice. Wish BRT had more races then 3 a year; not to mention more of a 4400 type of race.

I have spoken may times with the guys from brt and they tell me that if your rig is safe they will find a class for you to race in. Seems like a good group of guys.

I wanted to try and run one or two of these events in my Toyota but the chances of that happening are very, very slim. LOL!

I will look them up and try a season next year.
Hell it wouldn't hurt to try

Edit: Dirt riot seems like a badass race. I have seen some footage before on U-tube
that is worth a try as well.
Thanks for the link.
