Question Winch problem

Im getting a 12,000lb winch from a buddie of mine for doing a manual swap on his k10. It is the brand they sell at harbor frieght that has been the latest craze. It worked great until it was sunk at mudfest for a few hours. He didnt try to use it but it doesnt work now. Do yall think its savable? I havent pulled it apart yet to see whats up but i figured its worth a shot.

And the brushes. I don't think they are sealed from being submerged. I had a 10k long time ago. Was an awesome winch!

x2..brushes..although, check the solenoids just in case..as well as plug. Hot wire solenoids, before puling everything apart..
