big yellow cat and gar

Me and my buddy have been fishing a few days a week, and weve caught 25lb blues, big gar all the time, but we have been having a bunch of straightened and even broke hooks using 8/0 blood red's with 240 lb trot line. So we went to the online store and came up with some 14/0 circle hooks and 420lb trot line to see whats been busting our other hooks. This was our first time using them and to say the least no bent hooks or busted lines. I know there is many more to be caught. yellow cat was right at 46 lbs. and by the way im 6'4" lol

caught em at Peyton Creek, however its not much of a creek lol more like a small river. It feeds into lake austin...which is NO where near austin lol, Its in matagorda county and the water is actually brackish, It ties into the intercoastal canal. There are 3-4 dams bout 20 miles or so up.

It can get salty when it doesnt rain as far as the rivers go...shoot we catch redfish 35 miles up the river when the waters right. But where we caught these they were up above a few dams so salt cant travel up there

Heres how we had to get theses two guys home.... caught a many of stares going through town.....hahahaha

and zeb ima kill you.....
