Underconstruction and I go every now and then. We surf fish because we spend tooooooo much money on rigs to buy a boat. We go to Crystal Beach or San Luis pass

I fish a little farther east around the Sabine area a lot but venture to High Island and Bolivar to fish the beach too.

I'm either in san luiz pass or going off shore about every weekend in the summer. Thats why I own a jeep and trying to get it back together by summer. I have a off shore trip planed next month.

Took a while to reply but oh well. Reds will drag you around for a few minutes, depends on the size of your equipment. Sharks on the other hand can do like that bull did to me and swim around for abour 20 minutes or like blacktips did to a guy I know and drag you 2 miles offshore. You can drag your feet in the water for resistance but that is usually done at your own risk since other sharks like to follow and shade under kayaks.
