From my experience - I use to drive a wrecker in Houston and we towed alot of cars there. All the customers seemed happy with their work and they seemed to be resonable in prices. I know I had to take one back a second time because something was wrong but they fixed it and did not give the customer hell over it. Hope this helps

What do you need done. A complete rebuild or a head job. if you can do it yourself go for it. Or if you got the money to spend let someone. Their ton of engine machine shop around houston that well do a long block for you. and you install it.

Im actually in Corpus, but was willing to travel for a good price and work.

If I could do it myself I would, problem is I live in an apartment and no covered parking let alone a garage. I found a place that would do it for $3100 after taxes, a complete overhaul and a 4yr/100,000 mile warranty, so thats kind of nice. Little more then I want to spend, but I dont even have another car to get back and forth to work with otherwise DOWNTIME would be no problem. I guess we got to do what we got to do.

thanks for the inputs.
