well does anybody know where i can find a new one?? I was let go today, after 15 years no write ups, nothing bad on evaluations. Was told nothing just clear my desk and go.

I did make a few comments and an e-mail before Christmas to the VP that they might not have liked, about our work load and other more highly paid operators not picking up the slack, and them giving it to the grubs... yeah that could have been then end for me, but it felt so good sending that e-mail!!! it was the right thing to do at the time or so i thought.

anyway i have worked the last 19 yrs in the chemical shipping industry, as a tankerman, barge coordinator and lastly a port operator handling chemical ships ranging from 8000 mt to 40,000 mt. i was in charge of the planning and execution of the vessels port rotation and all aspects of the operations.

put out a few feelers this afternoon and will be beating the phone and pavement tomorrow.

sorry to hear what happen, was let go after 17 yrs form Compaq Computer, STAY POSITIVE... I hooked up with a group called Between jobs Ministries, church thing and some people are not open minded but it helped me get back in the groove, i'm near Tomball/Spring area which is a ways from you , but continue to Network everywhere, make some business cards something short, so introduce your self to lots of people and don't bad mouth your past company (hard to do ;-) ) and just talk your self up!!! Sell yourself about all the good things that you have done,

hang in there!!!
