were outa here

we are now going to be refugees!!! I live in Texas City so we are out of here in a couple of hours. If you live within about 40-50 miles of the coast you should leave too. I stayed during Alicia in 83 that was enough for me. it was only a weak cat 3 strong cat 2. this ones expected to make it upto cat 5 before landfall.

I'm in Kingwood, about 25 miles northeast of Houston as the crow flies and we'll stay, but it may suck.

My Brother-in-law, his wife and two kids left Deer Park this afternoon headed this way. They'll be staying with us until the coast is clear. (no pun intended)

DaveTTA just gettin started
Im glad to see everyone is using there heads. Traffic really sucked tonight on Hwy 6 but hey I can deal with it. Id rather see people leaving to be safe and find out later that they didnt have to then see another New Orleans incident.

Were headin out to Monaville "Just south of Waller, Hempstead area" Tomorrow sometime. Im still waiting to find out if I gota work or not. Ill be thinkin about everyone that stays put and hope for the best for everyone.

I hope everyone stays safe and gets to go home to something good.

If you work in houston, there is no way you are going to work tomorrow--45 and 59 are being converted to northbound only; there is going to be no way to get into town
