Question [Body Filler] Anyone used All-Metal?

I've got a couple of rust-spots to patch. I did my share of high-school Bondo work on a 1979 Toyota rustbucket I bought in 1985 for $500.

That's not the route I want to go on my Sammi. Anyone ever used this:

I like the idea that it is aluminum filled (no future rust and no worries about failure from moisture saturation in the future.

I agree with mudgod on this one (even though he tried to kill me by sending a black widow spider or two to dallas with that axle).

I would not waste my time fixing rust spots, I would worry about the mechanicals of the zuki. Such as beef up the spots on the frame where you are going to mount your shocks.

Good point - I should have been more specific: not going to bother with any cosmetics, but I have a couple of rust-through holes, for example, that go into the passenger footwell from the passenger wheel-well. I want to patch that up so slop isn't coming into the cabin space and dousing my passenger or my wiring.

So, with that in mind, whatchoo think?

Agreed - but it may be many moons before I have one at my disposal. And, I can foresee a time coming up when I'll be looking for small crap to fiddle with while I'm blowing coin on axle and driveline parts. ::

Rivet gun and some sheet metal will cover those holes just fine and be inexpensive. However, since your intent on building a show rig \ wheeler, use the all-metal filler and get a good book from the library that has a walk-thru on proper use. One note, Proper preperation is the key to a successful job

LOL - "show rig". I've chewed tobacco prettier'n my rig.

I already bought a Haynes techbook on body repair that was in the 'gimme' bin at Auto Zone

If it's any consolation, I'm considering sheet aluminum, rivets and body seam sealer to try to "fab" back in some sort of wheel wells in the back if I comp cut it and to replace the front half of the front wheel wells that's already been cut out.

all metal works very go but is best used as a filler like bondo. it repairing holes i would recommend fiberglass , fills faster, easier, cheaper and will not rust anymore as long as you prep surface. just my 2 cents. all metal is great for a street or show veh.
