78 Bronco half doors

Well I finally got a decent internet connection so I can now post up some of the pics of projects I have been working on. Now that it is summer time I will be cruising my 78 bronco on the weekends and its time for it to get some new sheetmetal. I completed a set of these on my old wheeling bronco that has since gone to the crusher, but on this set the end result will be much nicer and have a few more creature comforts. Mods if this is in the wrong forum feel free to move it around. Here is the version one of the half doors on my old trail rig.

Here is the bronco that this set of doors is being built for. Since I have already built and destroyed one of these trucks I decided to have one that is pretty much a mall crawler.

I started by marking all my cuts with painters tape, then brought out the cut off wheel.

Next, after gutting the door of all glass and window tracks I began to weld in the bracing for the new door top. After the bracing was completed I used cardboard to trace out all of the pieces I would need to close the top of the door. Once I was happy with the fit I began to place tack welds about an inch apart to get a good heat distribution until it was completely welded in place.

Here is a pic of the backside of the door. You will be able to open it from the factory inside handle. I still need to weld in the new lower door skin on the drivers door(way to much rust and Bondo for me), then add cup holders, and finally bondo/sand/paint. Sorry if the pics don't work this is my first time using the image tags so lets hope it all works.

Alright I haven't had time to update my photobucket account with the pics, but here are some teasers that I posted on another board that lets me load them straight from my pc. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
