Cleaning and painting rusted/chrome rims

I used a wire wheel on the end of a cord drill. They are $5 at Sippel.

Before(notice I've already done the outside):


After:


Then use oven cleaner on them, let sit for 15 minutes-


Wash them off with the water hose, let them dry COMPLETELY! It helps to use a rag and then let them air dry

Put that first coat on lightly


Then follow up with another coat or two and you're done! Do the other four

Looks good. Oven cleaner works wonders on old paint, grease, grime, etc....

Yeah, it's great for painting stuff you don't want to spend hours prepping. Like your inner fender wells...I'm doing those pretty soon and I'll do the same process.
