Exotic Wood Cargo Deck

After some deep thought and consideration on how to replace a rusting cargo deck in my 86 Trooper I have decided to replace it with an exotic South Americann wood. It will mean the addition of a couple of cross members for support and some minor trimming and sanding. However, it will be one of a kind. Since I do not plan on hauling anything back there once it is complete. I'll keep you folks informed, and take pics of the progress.

Sounds good. You gonna use Ipay? That's some very nice wood that lasts a long time.

That's gonna be one fancy Trooper.

Yep. The guy I'm getting with has an inside hook-up. He is a Home Depot contractor and can get it dirt cheap. He told me that about 30Sq Ft would cost me @ $250 and the extra hardware and brackets total would add up to about $325. Sounds VERY inexpensive modifications to me.

Hmm, not sure about how good that "inside hook-up" is. You might make a another call or two, that sounds pretty high to me.

Well here in Va. Ipay goes for about $25 a square foot. I have about 30 sq ft. of cargo deck. So that's not too bad.
