Flush-mounted tail lights on TJ

Anyone out there with flush-mounted tail lights on a TJ? I want to do it, but haven't found how to keep the back-up lights.

Welcome your suggestions.

Backup lights? What's that?

Seriously, I have flush mounted LED's in mine and I didn't even bother with reverse lights. However, you could pick up some smaller 1-2" white LED lights and flush mount them as well. I have found the best place to pick up LED lights are Truck Stops. They have a wide variety and are usually pretty reasonable. Another problem you may face is the lack of a decent looking license plate light. They have them at Truck Stops, Parts Houses and even Wal Mart but in my opinion they are bulky and ugly!

Good catch on license plate light!

Hey, thanks for the info. Good catch on the license plate light. That's needed, to keep things legal.

Kewl Suggestions

Hey, great stuff! I went out looking for LED lights on Saturday and stopped short of buying anything. Much better stuff listed here!

I just flush mounted my stock tail lights. I have the back up lights but no license plate lights. I also just have my front plate sitting on my dash. Cops stare me down but haven't got pulled over yet. Just make for sure you have a good ground if you run the flush mounted stock tail lights. I just ran a ground wire to the rear body mount and it was good.

It will take me awhile but I can get some. But for now just imagine the stock ones pushed in side the body.
