Need a good welder and body guy

Hi Y'all,

I need a good body man and who can trim back and weld closed the SM465 shifter hole in my center hump. It's in the wrong location for the NV4500, so I need it closed up and lookin' all purdy, so I can cut it up again

Thanks,

Manny

what do you mean by trim back?
are you looking to put a plate over it/under it/between it?
Now granted I don't have any gas for the light stuff. But, I can spot weld the hole shut with a filler plate and grind down the welds...and give it back to you.
I'm sure I can do the work for you. But Purdy....lol I'm not sure... that will require more labor.
If you are talking just about the middle round hole. $30 to weld and grind down the welds.
Let me know I am off Sunday and Monday...but would most likely do it on Monday.
PM for my addy and Number if interested.
Mike

Hey Mike,

What I'd like to have is the inner ring lip taken off, holes filled, then a piece put in its place, welded, with a smooth surface. Basically as if it was an automatic hump. Nothing but the 208 shifter opening.

PM coming...

it wouldn't be a real big deal to do but if you don't have the equipment to do it why not just get the hump out of one that was an auto??

Trying to find a bolt center hump in this good a shape is hard enough. Finding an automatic hump is almost dang near impossible, as few were made. I'm not saying they aren't out there, but it's like finding a needle in a haystack. I've already tried!

Great idea though. Appreciate it!

sounds good. I'll have to look at it in person to see what would be the better way.

Hey Nick, are you going to the river this year? If so, I might could get it to him in S.A.

Hey Manny, what year is your truck? I am in the middle of doing my sm465 swap and have an auto tranny hump that is unmolested. If the years are right i would be willing to swap you. Ill wait a few days before i cut it up.

Thanks guys for all the offers for help, but as it turns out, one of my buddies who welds stepped up and took care of it for me. Again, thanks for all the offers. I got it done.

Hey Kyle, I have a 465 hump out of a 81 1 ton 2wd that I'll trade you if you want. I'll even plasma cut the shifter hole for the t-case. Just let me know.
