Stock in-dash Speakers for CJ7

I'm trying to keep the interior of my CJ7 as original as I can but both my OEM in-dash speakers are blown and sound like ***! Does anyone know what upgrade would be the best and still mount up to the stock locations?

get on crutchfield.com You can throw in your info and it'll show you what'll fit with or without modifying anything. Find what you want and then ebay it. Crutchfield is kinda pricey, but they have a good selection.
Personally, I've always been a fan of Sony, but Alpine is supposed to be good too. Guess it just depends on what you're looking for in a speaker and how much you're wanting to spend.

On a jeep, IMHO, I'd throw a set of jensens from walmart in there. They don't have the same sound quality you'll get from, say kickers or polk audio, but the jensens are cheap and damn rugged.

As far as the sizing goes, yank the stock ones out of your CJ, and take them in with you and find something that matches up.....

If you are going to expose the interior to the weather, I'd buy a pair of marine speakers. Im running into the same problem with my Jimmy. The top is about to be off and im putting tube doors on it. I'll need to buy a pair of 6x9's for the back but im not sure which brand to go with. I'll probably end up getting some cheapy Wally-Mart speakers for now.
