Window Replacement

I know its not a mod, but i need some help. The Pass. side window got busted out of my k5. It is a manual crank, but i have another window that came out of an electric window truck. Are there any tricks to fitting the window back in the door? Is it a pain?

It's been a long time (10+ years) since I've done one, but it wasn't too terribly difficult. The biggest thing I remember about it was that I could've used 5 hands...

I don't remember the procedure though, but I can give ya a "Good Luck!"

If you unbolt the forward window track(the one with the vent window) and remove the three screws on the top front of the door, it makes it alot easier.

well let me tell you........ they are the same window. after you remove the door panel their is three phillips scres on the front of the door jam and one on the top. their is also a bolt on the botom of the front channel that you will need to remove and also one at the top right below where the latch is on the vent assembly. you will have to pull the top part of the vent assembly rearward toward the back of the window opening then up and twist and on out the top. their is also a bolt on the bottom of the rear channel, remove it and then in the door jam at the top near the door handle their is another, I usually loosen it but don't remove it all the way. Now roll the window up all the way till the rollers come out the top. now you can slide the doorglass channel off the rollers, slide the new one one and reverse everything you just did. sometimes the arms of the regulator will get caught onr one of the bolts for the door latch either take it out or just pry it past it. any other questions just ask.
