From Dripping Springs

Been lurking a long time, but never posted much.

I grew up wheeling and had a decent rig, then kids came along and had to get out of it for a bit. My oldest is now 3 and him and I are building a rig together. 1977 K5 4x4. Has an LT1 swapped in. Not sure how much lift, but sitting on 36" Swampers.

My old Rig.

Current Tow Rig.

Current Project.

Now that I am getting back into it, I expect to be making a few trips and posting more.

Welcome. Nice K5. Once bitten you can never leave. Keep us posted. Are you a mudder or into rocks?

I love mud because of the skill factors involved. pfft

I am not a fan of mud at all. I enjoy rocks and trails. I am leery of rocks, because I can't afford to replace parts all the time. Plus don't want to do anything too crazy with a 3 year old in the rig. Once I get the rig built up better, I will play in the rocks a lot more.

Jeeps are for girls
And guys that wish they were girls.....

Automatic transmissions are gay.

Flipped up tow mirrors are the sagging pants of the truck world.

Hwy 12 & Hamilton Pool area.

Hoping to make the run this weekend to K2, but don't have my rig ready, so will need to find a ride for me and my boy (3 yo).
