KaiserM715 just gettin started
Hello from Houston

I am in the Houston area but have lived in Midland, Lubbock and Amarillo and have wheeled the Canadian River area, Twin Buttes in San Angelo, Shiloh Ridge and others (plus a lot of north central NM). I have a '10 Raptor and a '67 Kaiser M715 project truck.

And guys that wish they were girls.....

Automatic transmissions are gay.

Flipped up tow mirrors are the sagging pants of the truck world.

It has been a good truck so far. Good for road trips. It is very quiet at speed, a very smooth ride and good passing power. Off-road capabilities are what I expected, but I am very thankful it is not longer or wider than it currently is (I think the SuperCrew Raptors will have some big issues with anything other than wide open terrain). I keep a pair of tree pruners with me on trails due to the width. It is a great jack of all trades vehicle.

Here are some pics of the trip I took in July to Red River, NM and Amarillo.

What's the plan on the M715, stock restore or modified?

I will modify the M715. It was used for VFD and as a result lost the tailgate, rear bumperettes, shackles and what not plus suffered some abuse. I will keep a military paint scheme (likely desert tan) and I have a 390 and NP435 to swap in (someday...).

Sounds like a good plan, I've got a 68 myself that I'm putting together. They are very cool trucks either in stock form or modified IMO.
