Just wanted to say hello,

I'm new in town(Texas 4x4.org) but not to the great sport of wheeling. I caught the crawling bug a few years back and now it has turned into an obsession as with most of us I'm sure. All I want to do is go out with family and friends to test our rigs to there limits and have a safe and good time. Just recently acquired a new rig this past Monday. It's a full size Jimmy with Rockwell's, 44" boggers, full hydraulic steering, and a full custom roll cage. Hopefully I will be able to take it out to Barnwell in a few weeks for it's first run under my ownership. I'm going to wheel this rig until I get my 91 K5 with Rockwell steer axles front and rear completed. It takes me a lot longer to build one than it does break one!!! Looking forward to being a part of this board.

Bring it up to BMRA March 3-5 for MegaRun. It should be the biggest turnout ever at BMRA.

See ya,

I went from a built D44 straight to running Rockwell's. If I could have found a set of 1 tons for the same kind of money as Rockwell's I would have gone with 1 tons. Rockwell's where just easier to find and you can not beat the price.

Rockwell's Likes,
Price
Strength
6:72 gear ratio
Cheap 4 wheel steer
Run 44" tires with out much fear

Rockwell Dislikes,
Huge, Ugly, and Heavy
Most of them leak
Top loader can sometimes be a pain trying to keep your rig low

Due to the price and availability I will continue to run Rockwell's until I can get my hands on a affordable pair of Unimogs!!! With more and more people running Rocks there are a lot more aftermarket parts being made for them.
