Moving into Fredericksburg

Hey everyone. Well I'm not there yet, but moved the wife and daughter down last week. Looking forward to getting out this summer when me and the other couple kids come out this summer after school, baseball, and softball ends.

I've searched a bit and found that there is some good options in the area so I'm super excited. Can't wait to hit K2 and a couple others I've heard about. Hope there a some wide trails for the SuperCrawler. Hopefully my '68 SVT power Bronco will be dialed in by then too.

Are there any Texas specific diesel or Powerstroke sites? I have quite a few diesel toys and love doing pulls, dyno runs, and drags too. Oh well here's a couple pics. I think the SuperCrawler will finally be a lot more at home in Texas than it ever was here in Cali.

That's the Miata bronco right? If so, I've checked out that build on pirate and thought it was awesome!

Right? F Cali regulations. I bought my Confederate Motorcycle from a gentleman from Texas almost ten years ago, and haven't been able to register it here in Cali cause it doesn't have an Emissions Label. Finally I can ride, a free man.

Thanks, now that I got the wife settled in there, I can get back on it and finish it. I plan on having it 90-100% finished by the end of April fron our Fabulous Fords event at Knotts Berry farm in SoCal.

Thanks guys. I bought my '11 King Ranch out of Austin last January. On my way home I pulled through Fred at Sunset. The wife and I have been praying for an answer of change for awhile. It just seemed like home at first site. I called the wife instantly and told her to start looking it up on the net. The more we researched the more we fell. With every trip we took and the people we met, the more right it seemed. Being a hick my hole life I've always felt lost here. Now with kids, no work, strangling regulation, and people talking about having a right to take my money, I was miserable, and to some extent scared for my children's future. You can only shield them so much. Texas and the people are wonderful. I fit your values, I'm not bringing anything with me to change Texas, but lessons on why it's so important to keep it just the way it is. I can't wait to call it home.

I think I might be out that weekend. If so I'll try to hit it up for sure. Time is kinda tight on the first few trips moving stuff down, but I'm excited to start meeting folks. This next trip down in Feb, we have to pull the motor out of my '96 Powerstroke that spun a bearing on the way down, so that'll take up some good time, cause then I gotta get it down to a machine shop in San Antonio, rebalanced and hopefully throw it back in before we leave back to Cali for a month or so.

Oh I'm just restricted here in Cali. The whole shoot yourself in the foot thing the WH is trying to do by holding up foreclosures has really killed construction here in Cali. The market still needs to bottom out, but they won't let it happen. I shut the performance side of my diesel stuff down back in '08, due to CARB, and the economy, but I'll be setting up a new shop as soon as I get there. Along with a couple other ideas I've got up my sleeve, and not being willing to sit on my tail, I'll be fine. Just be nice to be around and do business with mostly good people again where a hand shake still means something and if someone crosses ya up...well it settles itself out and usually without legal action. lol
