new to area and 4x4 junky

well hey guys new to area and wanting to meet some friends and fnd were the trails and parks are. i been wheeling for about 5 years since 14. as my user name says im a jeep cherokee xj fan, and wagoneer. all i have right now is a project pre-runner mazda b4000, but saving my nickles and dimes for a xj. it seems alot cheaper to live down here so hopfully i can manage to get my jeep on 38's instead of 33 or 35s this time without breakin axels, lol. i'm really expirence with 4x4 vehicles in general and know how to overhaul trannys and engines, but i mainly know the jeeps and can work on them blind folded haha. i live in bayou vista texas and

ya i found that out real quick, and was good to see that they dont have the rust lik we did up north, everytime i buy a xj, i spent most of my overnighters and weekend just gettin the unibody solid from flintstoneing my *** everywere haha. just hard to find the manual tranny in them down here so far besides one i found on 37,s but the dana 30 and 35 snaps just on speed bumbs so i cant afford to drive that for curb stomping

i might be getting a truck first though, i need a full size, atleast wider 6 foot bed but being a backwoods kid it may turn into something more. where are the trails or anything around here?up north we got lucky finding trails on the side of the road and stuff is there any of that here?or just parks that are 2 hours away?lol reason i ask is becuase i'm wanting to meet some friends but the only way i know how is by pullin them out shake hands and boom i got a friend haha
