new guy

hey guys. new to the forum but not new to the wheeling scene. Im active duty air force stated in abilene. Ive been going wheeling with 4x4 and more up in lubbock for almost a year now. I started off with a stock tj and then bought a cherokee from fourwheelerjeff and have been towing that back and fourth. im originally from oregon and did tons of wheeling up there although it was mostly mud and sand. right now im my garage i have my cherokee that is getting a motor swap tonight and hopefully will have it done by tomorrow so i can be up at post on saturday morning and i have a buddies 79 full size cherokee in peices as were rebuilding it.

my xj has dana 35 front with tj axles and CAD delete and aussie lockers, ford 8.8 welded in the rear and 34" tsl's. going to start some extreme modifacations to the body this summer. anyways i cant wait to start going to some of the bigger trips suchs as katemcy and the canadian.

I might make it man. That's a good haul but we will def see. If I don't have weekend duty, then theres a good chance that I'll be able too. How much room do you have for wheelin?

A little update on the new motor. Got it all in and running. Runs like a champ now. Had all new fluids in, new spark plugs and some new fuel! Runs really good now. Motor sounds nice and tight. The only bad thing is, Im pretty sure the rear main seal is leaking. So for now, It's going to just go through oil like a pig till I decide that I want to pull it again.

I have about a 5 acre rock quarry on the back/top of my property, it is big enough for about 20 vehicles to play around without getting in each others way. as of now there are about 7 vehicles/ 20 people in for sure, plus my dodge if I can get it finished up!!

here is a link to the post in the meetings and runs section:
