Thumbs up new to the state and forum from galveston/houston

hey guys my name is john, dont realy know what to say but i'm new to the forum and also new to the state of texas. i orginally moved from washington state. but i aint new to the 4x4 world. for being 18 i know alot about it and have about 4 years of soloing expeirence without spotters. hoping to meet friends of all kind to go wheeling with and hanging out. i am a truck guy. my style is after them being done with DD, i either flat bed, or tube the rear and/ or make the whole truck tube like a buggy. i dont run anything bigger then 40's and no axel bigger then 60's makes it easier on the trails, and and muding, and i run two different sets of tires, one type in the rear and one type in the front.

And guys that wish they were girls.....

Automatic transmissions are gay.

Flipped up tow mirrors are the sagging pants of the truck world.

i dont have a toy yet, just a mazda b40004x4 for going to work. but that will end up being a sand toy in the future becuase of the ttb axels. but i just moved down here not even for two months, but im either getting a chevy or ford for a toy. havnt made up my mind. if i wasnt stubborn about full size i would get a 85-or older toyota pick up, land cruiser or 4runner, or even a sammuria or side kick with SAS. i also still aint used to the area, the farthest i been is houston area and spring.

Well you had my approval until you said you wanted a Yota. LOL

I'm just up the street in Texas City. If you need anything or help on the real trucks ( NON YOTAs) let me know.....

Seriously........welcome to a great site and even better state.

yotas arnt bad, i think of them as the little locomotive that could, lol. but they are just real popular up north, people run the stock 8n inch axels and engine on 38's and just rear gear, add lockers and add dual transfer case, but i'll riase my to the full size.but thanks muddslinger same goes for you, i got no friends down here yet so that would be awsome. but i got to ask what rating rockwells you running?

LOL...I don't hate Yotas. Just can't be comfortable in one.

I run the 2.5 tons.

I know a place that is having a great Halloween party on the 31'st. You need to come out and make some friends and meet new people.

lol alright sounds good to me, just tell me whare and when i'll show up in my POS import with about 3-6 censors out, hate fuel injection, this is my first non v8 and non carburated and hate it, but dead or alive makes no difference, as long as they mumble like i can i'm down, lol. but thats pretty heavy rating thou, why didnt you go with 1 1/2 ton, or dana 60? you can run over that to 47'' 13'' wide with a dana 60 and be fine. just got to upgrade your axel shafts and add some traction bars and you'll be fine. but your running the bullet proof route thou witch makes sense now and days, lol. but ya that sounds like a god plan to me

I have done the Dana 60 route. 35 spline outters, ARB, CTM's etc. Built d60 cost around $3,000.00
A complete set of rockwells.......$1,200 and alot stronger then d60

Better ground clearance and pinion angle

damn thats cheap, up in washington your lucky to find rockwells for that cheap its cheaper to build 9'' and dana 60's. rock wells are so scarce that people despertly run 47 military tires with 60's/14 bolt, or just 60 60 front and rear. alot cheaper down, might be able to build my flag truck after all
