Well I went and bought an 85 Suburban on 39.5's to work onwith my 11 and 13 year old sons, so I guess I'm in for it now... It's been a LONG TIME SINCE I DID THIS STUFF...so I'm playing stoopid until I'm sure what I'm talking about. The truck has an OMC(Outboard Motor Corp) 350 , a 350 tranny...Can't tell about the t-case yet. The weak link is the 10 bolt factory axles.

Anyways....We're here and open for suggestion, probably be looking for rockwells soon and a 454 core to rebuild...

Look forward to any imput that you have...

I had a suburban once (86' 350 auto on 20" Nitto Mud Grapplers w/flowmaster exhaust system, etc etc.) ran smooth, they are very dependable if you take care of them (just like any vehicle) although it was a gas guzzler it was my pride and joy. I'd love to see pics of the work in progress burb that you have
