Ahh gotcha.

Your question sounded as if you were asking if you needed to have a to go wheeling.

Can't help you as far as wheeling goes. I didn't even look at a map to figure out where Coke county nor Bronte are.

I am interested in your knowledge of small s--particularly for pipe fences. I've got a one-time fence job coming up--5 acres, all pipe. All prep/fitment will be done, I've just gotta pull up, weld it, and move on. What kind of equipment are you running?

I could see having a at some of the bigger events being advantageous. The trouble would be how to make it worth your time without charging so much that you wouldn't get any business. Certainly someone with your experience and equipment could charge quite a bit, but most people won't pay for that.

My cousin was with me at Katemcy opening weekend last year when his suspension links starting tearing from the axle. Thankfully there was a fella there that let us use his and it saved the day. We did leave a tip for him tho.

You'd have to carry some misc. scrap pieces tho. (plates, tube, angle etc) and some way of cutting said scrap.

It's always handy to have a welding machine, you never know when you may need it. I remember one trip to the river when someones trailer decided it was tired of following the tow rig. lol

I think Paul knows what I'm talking about.

No, you werent. We had just pulled off the hwy and didnt get a quarter mile down the main road at the river when I noticed the bronco and motorhome moving at different speeds. The entire tongue broke off the trailer. It's funny now, but he was lucky it didnt come loose on the hwy.

Yes it could have been ugly.

Gotcha... I submitted my bid today on a fence job. Assuming the deal goes through, I'm going to need a trailer .

Your stuff is probably pretty safe there. If you were going to setup a welding station there, I'd put out a dry erase board or something for someone to leave you messages or sign-up for welding for when you return. You could certainly wheel your chevy on the easier trails, but I would think you'd want to stay away from the harder ones.

lets see, you'd need a diesel truck to load the and scrap into. Pull a trailer with your wheeling rig on it and a vise and other handy fabs tools. That way you could wheel whatever you want and then weld when you got back...
