im jeff, originally frm dallas, just moved to san jon, nm (bout 90 miles west of amarillo) where i work a diesel/auto mechanic/ tirebay manager at terry's service center (exit 356 I40 NM if yall ever breakdown and need a tow or mechanic btw) anyway, until i went to the canadian river run last yr i wasnt really into the whole rock crawlin, i was mainly into muddin, but after takin my rig out there i have a new passion. im ALWAYS broke and yet still buying projects or building projects... right now im building my 1939 on a 82 chevy k20 chassis (the build can be seen in the projects section of the forum as PROJECT NATURAL DISASTER)

ill strait admit, im a novice at fabricating, welder but im learning more everyday, i learn by doing, and by helpfull sites like this one

i like meetin new ppl, and gaining contacts

Yea, I have a good friend in Waxahachie and know a few folks in Red Oak. We were looking at houses in Red Oak as well as Rocket and Ovila.

The two main folks that I know down there are Patrick Feddersen and Paul Willert.

You got that right. I actually try and stop at the shell station on the south side of town if I am headed south. The last clean restroom for a good ways.

I can't remember now. I think there is a eatin joint right there too. Maybe a Whataburger. I just stopped in there mid-December, but it was late and we were headed back from Clayton (and had stopped northeast of Durant to help one of the guys out whose upper control arms on his TJ snapped in half causing the axle to roll forward, the wheels to turn and create a brake at about 70). We were pretty tired by then. :D

it just snapped? and theres a exxon just south across the st. frm wataburger, which is ovilla rd, then bout another mile down after the red oak rd exit is the knox truck stop, followed by a chinese restrunt thats been shut down fer years, then a shell... after that ur basicly out of red oak
