Mud Bog/Races/Tough Trucks in Victoria, Tx Jan. 2&3, 2009

This will be a first for Victoria and it will be a 2 day event. I don't know a lot about it due to poor advertisement on their part, but I figure if we want to continue to see and do this stuff we have to help promote it. I'll try and give you the most info i can and update it as I find out more.....

*January 2 & 3, 2009 at the Victoria Community Center (2905 E. North Street, Victoria, Tx 77901)

* Mud Bogs, Tough truck races, Quad races, and Monster truck races

* If you plan to race or participate in any even you have to be at the gate to register by 6PM Jan 2, 2009. (Not sure on entry fee, requirements, etc)

Like I said, poor advertisement and the only people selling tickets (Discount Tire Stores in Victoria) don't know anything about it. I am going to talk with some of the chamber of commerce reps tomorrow and also the people who will be building the tracks. I will let you guys know what to expect, etc.

Spread the word and the more of use that can come out and play will help promote the sport.

Thanks!

As of today....

To enter you must be there at 6pm Friday night. Entry fee is $30 for driver/truck. Any additional person will have to buy a ticket (also available at the gate). You will be required to wear a helmet to drive in the mud bog. If you don't have one and need to borrow mine you can as long as they allow it.

Still not clear on whether it will be 1 mud pit that is measured in time/distance or if it will be 2 pits side by side with it set up like drag races. The guy is suppose to call me back tomorrow with more details.

Thanks for reading and hope to see some of you guys out there.

you must have gone to school with him in waco.

yea, he thinks he's got the advantage over me, but i think my combo of lightwheight and 14.50" wide tires should be for some good floating action...

we shall see.

Sorry for not being able to get on here sooner...

Mud bog consist of 1 pit. Measured in distance/time.

$30 per day (Friday or Saturday) or $50 for both and there is now a 3rd day on Sunday that you will be able to play for FREE if you entered both previous days. Sunday is sort of a do what you want sort of thing.

I have seen the pit and it is not very deep or challenging, nonetheless we still plan on going. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Also, there is lots of talk about a bunch of trucks being there to mud so even if you can't bring your ride it should be a decent show for the family and friends.

Tickets are $17, gates open at 6pm and show starts at 7:30pm.
