new park "Canyons Offroad Park"

Hello all, Aug 15 will be the first weekend of trail clearing. We will open on Fri. afternoon and close on Sunday after lunch. We have the camping area cleared out and ready for you. At this we dont have running water or electricity so all the camping has to be primitive but we are working on some outhouses. The park is about 350 ac with deep canyons running through it. The trails will be in the canyons and cossing them and around the property.

The property is located off of RR 2323 on Schneider-Moellering in Gillespie co. north of Fredericksburg. About two miles the road on the north side. RR 2323 runs from Llano to Fredericksburg.

There will be 2 or 3 trail cutting weekends to follow in which we will be giving away an ECHO chainsaw. We will draw a name from all who attend the trail cuttings.

Oh yeah, FREE

Hope to see yall there,
Holland Ligon

wow, I'd love to see the land when its all cleared and ready to go. Any land going to be cleared for some mudding? atvs/dirtbikes?

Also I'm not sure if there's a burn ban there, but what are the rules of the camp? Any campfires/barrel fires allowed?

As of now there are no plans for ATV's or Dirt Bikes.

Camp fires will be allowed as long as there is not a burn ban. Currently the burn ban is in effect.

We aren't quite sure of the upcoming clearing dates. We are waiting to see how well this one goes and how much we can get done. As soon as we have the new trail clearing dates we will post them.
