I just hope to get my once a month in. Doubt it will happen the first couple months. Hope to make up for it before the year is up. Going to keep the trips closer to home this year. Probably get to know Clayton better this year and wear bridgeport out.

I am going to make every effort to hit K2 and Trees this year for sure. I know Clayton, Gilmer, Bridgeport and SMORR are definite. I too want to keep with once a month this year.

That's a good question. Best bet would be to watch trip reports on the other channel for that.

He doesn't have set dates just get a group together and call to reserve a weekend. As for a date for when "we" go that's another good question. Some of the locals were talking about hitting it up the last weekend in feb but not 100%.

Fingers crossed I make April 6-8 as my first run of the year, shooting for 6 trips again next year, more if possible. Maybe Clayton next Fall if I can convince some of the other guys to make the haul.

No never have. In fact the first time we went he meet us on the edge of town at around midnight. Took Kevin to get an RV spot then drove us across town to get us a hotel. Richard is a great host and a great trail hand. Sorry your friends had a bad experience.

When I went to CO lastyear I saw him flat towing his wadded up Jk up raton pass headed south. Seeing that thing in person is a treat. Doesn't look like it should be running period .

From what I saw, you could spend a good week there. If not, they also have Crawford Ranch close by. Like I tell everyone, that needs to be on everyone's to hit list. Definitely a bad *** place to wheel with a great group to show you around. Wish I could go back.

Are you talking about Raton or the River? I would like to do both, but 10hrs versus 6hrs..
