ya know, it's kinda sad... I've had more business calls here lately as these people are moving out of the government funded apartments they've lived in for the past few months... they couldn't even manage to take care of the places that offered them free shelter and the opportunity to "start over".

I'd have loved to had that chance. I'm sure the heartbreak of it all woulda sucked, but if Lubbock, TX ever gets flooded I'm gone. I'll be the guy in the fishing boat with 3 kids and a great dane if anybody gets to lookin for me.

I don't know about anybody else, but my first though would have been to get out. Even walking at 4 mile an hour, if you left first thing in the morning your gonna be at least 40+ miles in-land. It is a shame that the current government entitlement system has indoctorinated so many people into it's system that they don't even have the drive for self-preservation. I can kinda see how someone would rather take a handout than work a forty hour shift for just a little more than they currently get. But man, to lack the self-motivation to save yourself and your family? That is sick, an inherent flaw in a system that obviously does little more than keep a man down and make him feel grateful to whomever it is that is keeping him alive for what? a vote and no hope of ever bettering himself!

I think it started with Roosevelt and the New Deal ( if I have my history right) Welfare and Gov handouts got started during or right after the Depression. and now we have families that have been raised on welfare. They think it's their God given right to live off the Goverment, thier Grandparents and everyone else since then have, so why can't they. And then to suggest that they try to fend for themselves or to be a responsible citizen we get called everything from Bigots, racist and more. Chaps my *** everytime I start thinking about it.
I've been on top and I've been on bottom but I ain't ever quit fighting and for them to just blame everybody else for thier own problems is fawking lame! Damn I better get off here.....

There was a time when I lost my job. Not long after I lost the apartment I was living in. It was a good 12/hr job and I could have got on unemployment, but that wasn't the way I was raised. I found myself work, washing the windows on the out side of gas stations ($4). Mop and wax the floors in gas stations ($10). Vacum the floor at the near by Pool hall ($15 and a hot pocket). The same Pool Hall that my furture wife's parents owened (thats how I meet her). The only thing I had was my clothes, that where kept in trash bags, and my truck. Most nights I would sleep in my truck parked at the mall parking lot. I didn't get rich, but I got by untill I got a real job, and got back on my feet. If that happen today, I would do the samethings.

that is one of the reason for me getting all of the tools i can get. If it ever came down to it, i could make change by doing work for people. load all of my tools and stuff in the truck and knock on doors to cut yards and odd jobs. No shame in doing that, as i did that as a teenager to get spending money. I can't stand the idea of living on welfare, that is not how i was raised.

Just received thios an e-mail today. I wish I could say it is unbelievable.

The

Amen man.
I think the government should show up to were ever those people live, even if it's a cardboard box in a back alley and take every thing away from them! Including the clothes they are wearing. Cover them in honey and stake them to a fire-ant mound and say " now you have something to whine and ***** about " !!!

All I can say is if you are to lazy to even take an opportunity that is handed to you free and clear of all strings then you deserve to reap what you sow.

There has been little progress since the initial install.I`ve been trying to come up with some DOM for the four link, with no luck.I went to SSS Steel today and what they had was the wrong size.Maybe I`ll have better luck tommorow.

The SSS here in town doesn't carry any. They have to order it, or transfer it from another location. That is, if they even know what it is. Did you try the one in Houston?
