Kind of like a Divorce....TRO members and Land Owners after seven years can no longer make a go of it.

However the group will be looking for land in the central Texas area to develop into a park. If anyone knows of a good place, please let us know....or....if you know a land owner that would be interested in such a venture please have him contact me.

Would like to have something:

close to town with lodging for those who don't like to camp, parts store.

Good terrain.

Swimming place would be nice.

Good Roads to Park entrance.

Some type of facilities would be a plus.

You get the picture...until we find something we will be hitting a other parks as a group.

From the website,

"Hello fellow wheelers,

It is with great regret to inform the 4x4 community that the operations of Trees Ranch Off Road Adventure Park will cease immediately. We would like to thank each person that has attended Tree Ranch for supporting this effort and look forward to seeing each of you on the trails in the near future. "

Funny, well, not really funny... from the little bit of the story I have now, it is similar to what happened at Katemcy. Management of the park lost the lease to use the land.

we need to buy our own... Sierra Club style, form a non-profit, buy land and get tax deferments for 'preserving' it.

What about BMRA and Ozona? Isn't there tax money used in those parks?

BMRA is cool. Ozona is way to far out. And everyone said that before it was bought. Im not downing it by no means. But were in texas. We end more. It sucks to lose two of are best parks we had in a year. Remember these parks have been open for a good amount of time. Thats way they had such cool and good trails.

I call BS on that. Only an hour or so farther than Trees from SA. Anyway, you were saying the state should chip in.

I never got to wheel there, so I'm really bummed. We were putting together plans to go before this hunting season, but the plans fell through.
