2001 Keystone Cougar 30' 5th wheel - $9,500 - Abilene

Needing to downsize into a rig with a cargo area or race trailer with living quarters, so our camper needs a new home. $9,500 or entertain trade for something I can camp in and haul a rig on at the same time.

I'll try to take some photos in the next few days. In the meantime, I can tell you it looks a lot like a camper.

It's a 30' Keystone Cougar, has fiberglass siding, one piece rubber roof, crank-up TV antenna, single large slide in living area. Middle kitchen, rear bedroom with three bunks, and front bedroom with queen bed. No mattress in front, we had been using an air mattress but it sprung a leak lately. Bathroom in middle. Has small bathtub / shower combo with skylight, and toilet is in same room. Toilet had new valves installed in 2013.

Refrigerator - freezer works well on propane and electric. Has electronic ignition on propane water heater and will also heat water on electric. New galley gray water tank in 2013. New main water pump 2014 (will install before sale).

Rubber is in great shape, new in late 2012. Tires are 10 ply, load range E, and spare is 8 ply load range D. Battery was replaced in July.

Rear surface shows some delamination, so this summer I pulled off the corner trim and took care of the light damage found inside. The upper structure of the trailer is aluminum and not wood, so it's not nearly as likely to have rot problems. The "Cougar" decal on the front is just about gone, having been cooked by the sun.

Trailer has totes in the basement containing fresh water gear, sewer gear, and electrical gear. There is a set of X-Chocks as well. It needs nothing to camp except you and some groceries.

The trailer has a very long pin box, and I have no clearance issues towing this behind my short-bed Ford F-250 with a non-sliding hitch. Loaded weight is about 10,000 pounds so most trucks pull it very easily.

I have a blue Texas title in hand and in my name. Tags just expired. It's a good camper and would be very comfortable for a family or downright luxurious for an energy worker.

The camper has a newer 27" LCD TV that is wall-mounted with a nice Altec-Lansing sound system and Sony streaming media player. Can leave in trailer for the right offer.
