Red River East

I'm located in Sherman, TX about an hour north of Dallas on 75 and ~30minutes south of Durant, OK on 75. Anyone in this general area feel free to post up. I am looking for some local spots to wheel on the weekends without having to drive/trailer 6+ hours. I recently got the Burb put together and am itchin for some trails nearby. Pix for clix

The closest places to us are either Clayton, Ok or Gilmer, Tx - about the same distance. I love Gilmer -- but I dont have a full size - hope you dont mind body damage if you go there.

BTW where did you take the picture?

Yep yep, Gilmer or Clayton. Those are the two answers I've been gettin' haha
The pic was taken at my brother-in-law's "pit" on the backside of his property. Good wheelin spots there too, just don't know any locals. It's in Tishomingo, OK, about an hour drive from where I'm at now.

nevermind.

bridgeport= ~1 1/2 hrs away southwest [crap! the closest one has to be unopen to the public except for events]
coppermines= ~4hrs away northwest
monkey creek=~3-4hrs away northwest

Guess I'll do some research about Bridgeport

Just checked and Clayton is only ~2 1/2 hrs northeast also. Just wish there was somehwere right around no matter how small, just so I can do some more shakedown testing before driving a ways to wheel and driving back. Guess I need to invest in a trailer huh? lol

Yeah that is something we need to do to! Ours is strickly a "trailer queen" and it sucks not having a trailer. Lets us know when you are going somewhere close and if we can we will wheel with ya.
