Stay away from Kirby. They frown on wheeling out there due to an ongoing enviromental impac study. Rockiy Point on the North side of lake Ft Phantom is pretty good for mud and has some ledges/hills to play on. Just stay so you have trees on the drivers side of the rig when going towards the lake. Nobody will bother you as long as you stay out of the lake bed.

yah i ve been to fort phantom but i dont think its as fun as kirby . and when theres a good rain storm the mud is never ending. the city messed up when they let that shotgun skeet range right next to it. theres like two feet of pellets in that area. sometimes you can hear the spray hit the water

That's the kind of attitude that looses us places to wheel.

I used to live across the street from Kirby, and go out there every other day. I had never seen any cops or wardens. Nobody ever said anything to me. I never did get to find the poeple dumping thier trash out there either.

i was jk mitch , as far a seein the warden i only seen him during the day lookin for fishin licenses... someone burnt down a good chunk of kirby if you follow the trails you ll see it ... i try not to go mudding that often anymore im trying to fix some things on my truck... and i just switched from mudders to all terrains so i cant rip that much stuff up as well as i did with my mudders.... i never had anyone to go out there with to mud at least .. but if anyone is planning to mud and need some back up to pull them out or something i ll be down... maybe not to play hard but who knows when your behind the wheels and theres a strip of mud anything can happen.

I have been at dyess for 3 years now, Kirby is alright and the wardens don't care if you are out there, as of jan, as long as you stay on the trails or in the dry lake bed part on the south side of it.

Another AGE one here.. to many years at the Big D to admit

Been a while since we went to Kirby, but from what the lake patrol told us it to stay away from the levee where they are working hard on it... and they are doing some sort of enviro study... didn't give specific area... we have been making trips to Katemcy so we are kinda spoiled by the rocks Easeir clean up
