A Soldiers Funeral - This Saturday in Beaumont

Copied from the TX4WD mailing list. this is happening in Beaumont, Saturday
folks who can should go and let them fawkers know your feelings.

The Patriot Riders will be there as well. in case you are unfamiliar with the Patriot riders, they are the ones with the flags who block the protesters from the view of the family. Here is a link to the thread on thier forum.

those bstrds...i saw them on the news and have been following them for a while. i plan on joing that group here as soon as i put my carb back together on the bike. ide go over there this weekend if i didnt have class all weekend...it pisses me off that they protest like that...i mean everyone has a right to a funeral. my vote is we take all those people and tatoo an american flag on their chest and air drop them into the heart of terroist country and see how long they last

we should contact the Patriot Guard and see what they think. We could form a similar organization of offroaders. im going to shoot them an email about it. anyone interested let me know and ask others too! [email protected]

Hey, I originally posted this on the SETex mailing list. Glad it made it over here. I have done a bit more research on this and found out that this is the same group that protested the young 8 year old boy who died from aids. They also are protesting at the Amish Girls funerals today. They believe, are you ready for this, that the death of a soldier is GOD's revenge on us for our tolerance of Homosexuality. In my opinion this is just sick. I had a friend once that built this huge 5000 sq ft home. She told me that they prayed to God and that God told them to build the home. Okay whatever. I think God has better things for you to do than go out and build a $750,000 home. I don;t think God is going to be too happy when they get up there to go into the pearly white gates. I think he will be sitting there saying---"Hey, what's up with blaming me for all your mistakes?" I will be out there Saturday Flags Waving.. For his family. These families should be remembered as well as the our soldiers and should be HONORED for their sacrifice as well. Not degrated during this time of grief. There is a special place in Hell for some people.

Okay, Here is thier Home page. I know that no one here has the same views. There is not much difference between a radical Christian and a radical Islamic group, both are full of hate. I went to a Catholic School most of my life and one thing I learn was this--A person claiming to be a Christian will do some of the most unchristian things. God is the Judge and we will all have to answer to him for our own actions. We do not Judge God. These people have severe mental problems. I went through their page and it is absurdly ridiculous.

i am very interested, my son is in Korea in the Army, and my nephew is going into the Marines next week. me personally i have never been in the military(problems with athuarity figures) BUT I repsect everyone who has and does protect my buttox.

ill let yall know what i hear from the guys in charge. i joined the PGR since i have a bike, and i hear u dont have to have a bike to join or show up, but i thought it would be cool if Texas4x4 members organized and worked with PGR and showed up together

Man, what the heck is wrong with people??? They, the protesters cannot let a soldier who gave his or her life for their rights and freedom have a funeral in peace? It is sad enough our young people are laying down their lives with honor but these protesters are going across the line. Curse them all. Maybe our country has some problems but it is still the greatest place on earth thanks in no small part to people who are willing to fight for freedom, the same freedom protesters like this trample on with no respect for others.

The Patriot Guard is an excellent group. Before the 500 foot rule stating that protesters stay 500 feet from the funeral grounds, the protestors would get quite close. 500 feet is still way too close in my opinion. The patriot Guard would sheild the protestors and rev there engines to drown out the protest. WAY TO GO!!!

I am going to meet at the staging area in my F250 and will have water for any riders available. Anyone who wants may join me.

my feeling on this is if you disturb any families rights to a funeral 500 feet is just about the correct distance to the next funeral , the protestor that is.

i talked with a few members of the guard and one of their captains and they said that blocking them out isnt really an issue since the law requires them to leave an hr before the service starts, but they would honored to have us stand in the flag line with them and bring our trucks flying American flags. im gathering more info on how it all works so ill keep yall posted

here is an update. if you want to go to the deal tomorrow, here are the details i got.

"Date: Saturday October 7th 2006

Houston Staging Area: We will stage in Baytown off I-10 and FM 3180 at the Exxon Station (north east corner) , exit number off I-10 is 800 from west or east.

Time: 10:00AM 10:20 Riders meeting & prayer KSU 10:30AM Sharp!

Route: I-10 East to Beaumont 60 miles, 1 hour and 6 minutes. We will only stop for a break if it is very hot.


To answer you as best I can... Show up before 10 am on Saturday and look for a large group of bikes with flags and introduce yourself... I have yet to meet anyone there that isn't friendly. Then the rest is basically follow the leader... LOL"

i cant make this one but plan on doing others. hope yall can make it out
