Rockwell 101
Who can school me on Rockwells?
Places to get parts? Places to buy two fronts? Best ways to mount the heavy things? I saw a rig this weekend abuse some rockwells in a way that would make built D60s run and hide. I need to look into these a little bit for my next build.

Not to much to know about them. Buy a set, Run a link suspension, Full hydro steering, shave diff's yourself. less then $50 bucks worth of metal to built a pair of diff covers, Repack hub bearings, fill with oil. And run the **** out of them. Remember cheap. There no need to drop a ton of money into these axle. There built to last. And build your own rims.

2.5 ton's with o.e.m 47 spline are like 5x strong then 5tons. And half the weight. I wouldnt pay over $500 for a set of 5 ton's. Hell you couldnt get that for them if you sold them for scarp iron. There's no real market for 5 tons. You just got to know were to look. And if your going big enough for 5tons you realy going to need 4 wheel steer.

Mudnmyvayne. if you need to know any thing 2.5 tons let me know ive been thorw 3 set so far. Like all the bolt on the hub flanges, kingpin top and bottoms are 9/16 head bolt. And the lug nut are 1 1/2. And they sell a spindle nut tool for under $20 bucks. It comes in real handy.
