Rockwell boot guards

Just got my boot guards from usa6x6 and where they attached the ring to the plate it is only welded on one side on three of them. Daniel said that the new did not know to weld them on both sides. I would almost belive him if one of them was not done correctly. So BEWARE and check yours carefully if ordered any lately. When I told daniel I would fix them myself he was kind enough to offer a discount on my next purchase.

Good luck on the discount offer. He told me that he would ship a extra boot since it only took 3 months to get them. Only got what I ordered.

On a side note: The boot guards will save your boots from the rocks we just need to find someone else that sells them.

I thought about making my own but I had a side job to pay for them so I worked on other things instead. They would be simple except for the dished part.

I've been thinking about making some boot guards out of the old pans that are cut off the axles. I think the contour should be close enough to work. And yeah, Daneil's service sucks! Too bad he sells such good rockwell parts. I've been trying to find alternative sorces for the rockwell parts. So far I've found just about everything but the boot guards and good skids. If ya'll are looking for pinion brake setups, call Codeo at Dynamic offroad...936-639-4888. He's got good prices and good customer service. I just bought my 54's off him, a pinion brake kit, and a few other things.

I did not even think of the old pans but thats a good idea. I think you could use the existing tab and the round part looks like a 10" piece of schedule 80 pipe.

I doing the pinion seal and the new one that I got from red river is not as thick as the old one. Plus the old one looks like it had a wiper on it. Is this normal or did I screw up something?
