Ok, I got one on order from GLO, it should ship out early next week. I'll post pics when it comes in.

I got the diff welded up. It was easy.........once I got the fire put out. I'll post pics later. Thanks for the tips Jonas.

Is that all you welded is the hole up. It's not going to hold very long. Spend the time and pull the diff apart its not very hard to do. Lay the gears in one side of the diff housing after you pull them apart. Tack weld the spider gears together then lay them in the other side and tack that side. When you can fully weld them or just the cracks and grind smooth. I used big carter pin intsead of safey wire. Makes it eazier to put back together. I know ive tried to short cut mine when building it. And ive pulled the rear out twice to weld them up. Now there a solid ball of weld.

Ajusting the gears its that hard. ive seen guys ball park the slack in them.

ive heard of people saying NOT to weld em through the holes and others saying they never have any probs. i myself pulled it apart to weld em up tight. but you cant turn back now. you cant get em apart......it'll prolly be fine though.......

I welded my front Rockwell through the holes and on the rear rockwell I took everything apart and welded up the spider gears into a ball. Time will tell which one will let loose first. I think you will be fine if you got a good weld on them.

I run a detroit in the front. It help's the the turn radius alot. Its fun on hill climbs when you have pinion brakes. If the grounds loose. You get one wheel spinning one way and the other spinning the other way. ive been running mine for the last 2 years. No problems. Bought it though Randy ring and pinion. Best price i found and had it on the shelf.

i run a detriot in front,it tends to be noisy at times but not always. turns GREAT for a larger truck. I welded my rear.

Mine never made any noise. Have you tryied to pull the front driveshaft. And see if its the pinion brake or D/S making your noise. think that that were most of people niose comes from. The driveline under load on turns. The one in my rearend of my Dodge pops on hard corners.

i might be mistaken on say its my locker, it may be my pinion brake releasing.........because it normally happens when im doing hard braking

I pulled one diff apart and welded the gears. The other no tellin how many rockwells I've built I've just welded the holes. I abuse my stuff hard and have yet to have a diff come unwelded. I have broken alot of axle shafts, but as long as you can weld half way decent they should stay together. I'm running 54's on mine right now with just the holes welded and no problems. You should be fine Mitch.
