USA 6x6, but you know the drill there. Chuck's trucks, ouverson engineering, I beleive blue torch has some stuff to and maybe poison spider, but not for sure. I've been getting my stuff from usa, but I'm usually not in a hurry..lol

They are pretty easy to build on the rockwells since the tubes are square. You might want to put on a traction bar due to the escessive axle wrap these axles have.

Well, I got my first Rock yesterday and decided to start looking for parts. I spent over an hour looking thru our vendor section and none of the offer anything, like high clearance pans, boots, boot guards, pinion seals or pinion brake stuff. I know where to get the pinion brakes, thanks Jonas, but where is the best place to get boots? I havent found anyone who sells the mohawk pans. Yes, I know, "make your own" or "pirate", thanks, tired of digging. I'm looking for pre-fab so I can get it done that much quicker. Thanks in advance.

Blue torch has them. you just not looking in the right spots on there sites. or call them. And poison spider to. The price you pay for one of them You can build like 6 of them.

It cost me $40 in metal to build both of mine. hell some 1/4" 4" or 5" inch wide flat plate and a peice of 3/8 think 3" wide flat plate your done. You can use 1/4 if you want or the center strip. You can build two of them in a day.

From a post on Pirate.

"New 2.5 Ton Rockwell Mowhawk Covers $150
That is correct we just finished up building and shipping our first pair of these to a local customer. After a couple of slight revisions they are good to go. They are built from all 3/8" plate and formed and welded. We are also including a machined fill plug as well. The first large production run is being welded up first of next week. Yes we have the parts in house and they are ready to roll. I will ship these for $165 ea TYD lower 48. For all others or bulk buys PM or call me for a quote. I will post pics shortly. But most of you know our rep for quality covers and everyone has seen a high clearance 2.5 ton mohawk skid more than once. Thanks Shawn"

I talked to Tonya today, he doesnt have them in stock, basically, he builds them as you order them. She said that if I ordered them today, they should ship by the middle of next week. Hoping to get one, maybe two on order later today.

I havent found any pic's of them yet either. I've compared a few of them and this is what I have found.....

Poison spyder - the piece that protects the bull gear is the only piece that is 3/8", the rest is 1/4". $224.

BTF - the base and the piece for the bull gear is 3/8", the rest is 1/4". $189.

USA6x6 - the whole thing is 3/8". $155

Chucks trucks - I cant find them at all. $?

Rather than start a new thread, I'll ask here. Where is the best place to get stock replacement axles? I need a short side inner and outter u-joint style. I was disassembling my axle and when I pulled the passenger side spindle the outter axle came out with it and the 4 balls fell out of the axle and rolled out the shop door. I decided that that would just piss me off had that happened on the trail. So, now I am in search of an axle. I already have a u-joint style long side. Anyone have one for sale cheap?

Ok, after spending over 5 hours reading Rockwell threads on pirate, I have the repeza short side axle(and a headache). I also read that I have to change axles seals when changing to u-joint style shafts. Is that true? Do I need to change anything else while I have it apart? I would like some of you folks who run Rocks to chime in here. While I have it torn down to weld the diff and put a shaved pan on it, what else do you suggest?
