1979 GMC K1500 Shortbox 4 x 4 Truck (needs Mechanic Love)

Selling my truck, 79' Gmc K1500, short box. Comes with a set of reg. size tires and rims and comes with a set of Rally Rims (decent shape) that was originally on the truck when I bought it.

I brought the truck from South Dakota with the intention of fixing it and driving it but don't have the time or $$$.

It was purchased (by me) for a little over 2200.00 6/2004. I have put some money in it, new starter 07', (2) new tires 06', battery was new in 04' and an upper radiator hose 05'. Still needs a lot of misc. work, a mechanic or someone with skills could easily put some $$ into it and have a decent running truck. I know everything about this truck, so anything you need to know please email me. Right now the truck is sitting, will run and drive down the road for test drive, but the tags are expired and I would prefer to see someone haul the truck away and not drive it.

Other specs.
5.7 Liter Engine (Runs strong) (someday will need Valve Cover Gaskets)
4-Speed Man. Trans. Geared low (Shifts funny-has a noise-Throw out bearing?)
Tow Package (after market) comes with ball and hitch
Power Steering
Goes excellent down the highway (doesn't shake, rides straight and smooth for a truck)
Stands 3-Feet off the ground (ground to top of front hood) (factory) Has no lift kit.
2-Barrell Carb. (needs adjusting) (factory)
New Plugs 07'
New Fuel Filter 06'
Slide Back Window (somewhat rare...)
"Had" Dual Exhaust Glass Back Mufflers--now has one straight back-one glassback
4 X 4 (with hubs) DOES WORK BUT> It needs the "bolt" I can attest that it does work and works excellent, bolt is like 30.00---again, no time or $$
Have had off an on problems with the right rear brake sticking, several have looked at it and claimed to have fixed it, after charging me 200.00, but I think it still does it. No idea why.
Radiator has new upper hose, does leak, needs patch or replacement, new one is ($120.00 delivered to your door from a San Antonio company)

To anyone has any questions are wants to know anything else I missed, write me @ [email protected]

Faded Orange/Red
Some obvious rust, some small, medium holes all over, truck lived in South Dakota for 25+ years, this is expected but not as bad as most this year.
Truck does not require emissions test for it is over 25 years old.

looking to get at least $1550.00 ---no less please
book in poor is about this....I have way more into parts, buying it and hauling it down here....
If you need pictures email me and I will send you a pic [email protected]
or [email protected]
I have only a few pics but all are recent. (06.07)
