'72 Blazer Project...

Updated prices further down in the posts with parts being parted out.
$3000 for both axles...

I'm just beat with this thing, and I have more interest in finding a ready to go rig.

'72 Blazer firewall, windshield, front floor. Also have the stock hood, cut front fenders, and the rear fenders have been gutted and mounted on the rear cage. The rollcage is built front the Apillar all the way back to the end of the frame. Seat mounts built for the front seats.

Drivetrain:
*SBC 350, mild build by the PO to run on propane, headers installed with good gaskets
*TH350 tranny with shifter
*NP203 to 3:1 LoMax with HAD flange for the rear d-shaft; NWF doubler (203 is inverted & LoMax clocked 4" up); NWF triple stick cable shifters
*Front DRW 60 with 5.86s, Detroit, Yukon 35 spline inners/outers, gusseted knuckles, Sky MFG hi-steer arms, ARP studs, Mad4WD axle seals, replaced everything minus the kingpins, 4WD Factory flanges, Great Lake Offroad diff cover, new rotors (that are no covered in surface rust), 1410 yoke
*Rear DRW HD70 with 5.86s, Detroit, 35 spline axles, drum brakes, GLO diff cover, DIY4X spring perches not welded in, 1410 yoke

Suspension:
*Front: Stock 52" springs, rebuilt using a UHMW material, 1" zero rate, longer shackles, Sky MFG front xmember, greaseable bushings, ORD eye hanger at the frame where the shackles bolt to
*Rear: TCI 3" lift 64" springs, ORD shackles
*Shocks: (4) 15" travel BBCS

MISC:
*12K Tabor Winch
*Entire propane setup with vaporizer, two tanks, propane line, etc.
*Full hydro setup, would probably only need a steering column & hydraulic hoses
*Full Autometer gauges made to fit the stock bezel
*Corbeau seats for driver & passenger with red 4 pt harnesses
*H1 wheels widened to 12", new seals and valvesteams, GLO rock rings, USA6x6 PVC inserts
*New complete wiring harness
*Misc tabs for shock mounts
*DIY4X motor mounts
*3/16 plate for a bellypan
*1/4" UHMW for a bellypan
*HAD rear driveshaft with 1350 yoke at the t-case & 1410 at the axle
*All parts to build a 1480 front d-shaft
*Extra tubing to tube out the front
*DIY4X spring plates, new ubolts

I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but that's about all of it. This is more of a feeler thread, as I'll continue to work on it, but I'd rather be out wheeling than building. I'm currently working on the propane mounts & doubler mounts. Maybe once I get over those hurdles I'll decide to keep it, but who knows... This thing still has a title & I still have the VIN tag.

The economy sucks but this thing has a ton of sentimental value for me but I'd guess 16K OBO for everything.

Partial trades: 69-72 Blazer, 4 seat toyota "buggy"

If you want to see anything specific, let me know. Basically needs: time to put the parts together, tires, hydraulic hoses, brake setup.

David

Thanks guys. I try busting on it & something always seems to go wrong so I have to take steps back. Just a lot of built up frustration I guess. Anyway, just a lot of time missing out spending with the kids.

You got a list??? If not make one! Do one step at a time and finish it.

I get to jumping around alot, it really slows me down! When I focus on one thing I can knock it out. I dunno if this applies to you, but what I do, Good luck!

I have tried to tell him to make a list from easily to hard and get it done one thing at a time. But at last I think he has completely had his balls removed and is now going to live as a women. WTF u are so close you need to finish it and wheel it then when u don't like it then sell it. Sucks that you have to do this but u know I got ur back so good luck with the sale and don't spend a dime on the Duraturd

X2!

Just work on getting it running where it will move under its own power and go from there. The "urge" will kick back in.

You will hate yourself to the point of depression if you sell it and see it leave. All the good stuff is there just a matter of righty tighty lefty loosey.

That's what I've been telling him. The moment he hears that motor fire up for the first time, will be all it takes to get motivated. Right now it sits there lifeless with no soul, but once you can go to the garage, sit in it, start it, and pretend to wheel while revving it up. That's all you need to keep you going.

You have all winter to get it done, just work on it steadily and have it ready for spring.

You know David I have been giving you hell about this thing but the last thing I wanna see you do is get rid of it!! Finish this biotch and get it wheeling man! If you don't like it, then sell it lol. Seriously man you have waited too long not to see it finished. Maybe I can convince my brother on off nights and we can come help you. Wish we had room in his shop for you to bring it over. Either way man good luck with whatever decision you make!

Thats cool.

Just get them out in the garage now and teach them the wrench sizes so they can hand them to you and learn something other than TV or video games while strengthening family bonds.

It's been done...they get scared to hell with the grinder, I send them inside when I weld, but most of the other time they're around

It is cool yall..he can change his name to "OMFG!whydidisellit" I would not put a price on it anyway, just 'trade only for ready 2 wheel rig' so you will not have that sellers remorse .. you will have a new toy.

I agree with this completely, if you sell it you will miss it before it is out of the driveway. And it is good to have a rig to go out to work on when you need to get away from the wife and kids!!!!!!!
