simple as my 1st teachings about hi-performance diesels.

add fuel till it starts to lose power(the hell with smoke), then add more air till smoke goes away, then add more fuel, then more air,on and on till motor goes away.
nothin to complicated there.

Everything you need to connect the two. The whole assembly (Th350, Dana 300 and adapter) is available for sale if interested.

Did you decide to go another route or what? I have a sm420/dana 300 combo coupled by a novak adapter that I'm contemplating swapping out for an auto.

Selling for my buddy. Had a TH350 and a stock geared D300, swapped it out to a SM420 with a 4:1 D300. He didn't like the auto......

Are you near Dallas or Hoston? I never lived in a state that had the same named places in two different areas.

How much for the TH350 and the adapter? How old is the transmission, has it been rebuilt, and is it stock or modified? Any issues with the transmission? What is the stall speed or the Tq converter?

Let me know.

I am just outside of Houston (northwest).

Age of tranny, no idea. Rebuilt by me, no. Stock to my knowledge.
We were wheeling in Hot Springs and blew the transmission cooler line off and dumped some of the fluid out. Refilled it on the sport (ended up overfilling a little) and put it on the trailer to bring back home.
Drained it all out, all the fluid looked good. Tried to re-fill it but never got the fluid level correct so it wouldn't ship into third (just test driven). Looking for lower gears, I found a g deal on a SM420 and pulled the th350. When we pulled it we discovered the torque converter did not have very much fluid in it. We suspected that was the cause for it not shifting into third. We are all ignorant when it comes to automatics and we were not about to take it apart, especially since we found manual we wanted in the first place.

Torque converter stall? No idea.

Enough information?

If you want the combo you can have it for $350.
