I'm going to run it across the scales unless I get a better use for it.

What do you have in mind?

Popular items, a lot of them went quick.
I have some door handles that are not on these doors, I'll take a look for them.

Dash pad went on CL after being posted for five minutes, maybe I should have asked for more.

My son has the console and front seats spoken for.

Still have a lot of interior.
Still have core support but radiator was not good.

Firewall is pristine. I have not removed the windshield but I see no rust or indication of rust.

I'm interested in those areas. Can you take some photo's for me? Do you have any objections to a sawz-all cutting those sections out? What would you want for that area?

I'll get you some pictures, we can agree on how much you will cut out and figure a reasonable price.

No prob with sawsall, have a plasma cutter too.

Plasma cutter make make it so much easier, as that will cut through metal like butter.

Thank you for the pics. I appreciate it.

Cut the top about 4" past the crest of the windshield frame.
Cut across the floor pans directly below it.

Before you do that, can I ask that you take the windshield out. I'm not trying to be a PITA, but there is a rust evident around the windshield seal on the drivers side. I really need to see what's what below the seal before I commit. Taking the windshield out is really not difficult to do. I will compensate you for your time if you are willing to do that.

The firewall is excellent as far as I can see.

Thank you for your help with this. I appreciate it.

Manny

There is a light spot of surface rust, not cancer.

I don't know if I'll have a chance to yank the windshield any time soon. When would you be interested in picking it up if you decide you want it?

I would need to coordinate with you and see how much you want for it. It would probably be easier to cut it with the plasma than a sawz. Let me know.

I'm going to try and get the winshield pulled this evening. I'll shoot some closeups.
If everything looks good, when would you be coming to get it?
I'll wait until you are here to start any cutting, that way you can see it up close before I end up wasting a ton of time and gas cutting it loose. I'll need help getting it apart without damage anyway.

$200 for the piece you described. 4" behind the windshield roof to floor.

I'm going to stand by to hear from you before I start cutting. I will have to cut the rest of the carcass up to run it across the scales since I'll not have the part with the VIN on it anymore. Let me know as soon as you can, one way or another this thing is going away this week.

The implication is they want to be able to match the vehicle to the title. Handing them the vin plate does not meet their requirements.

So, if you have the other 85% of the suburban and the vin and the title, it doesnt meet their requirements?

What I was told in the past was they needed to match the VIN on the vehicle to the one on the title. They have to be able to see the VIN on the car. If it were stamped on the firewall or somewhere else that would suffice but otherwise they cannot accept it as a vehicle.

VIN should be on the frame somewhere.

They have no interest in crawling under a vehicle to verify.
