Parting out 85 k30 dually

Ex fire truck (red), 17 k, 6.2 (unknown condition) It hasnt run in a good while.
4.56 gears frt & rear 14 bolt/dana 60, frt still has auto hubs on it.
Unknown if rear has detroit in it (will check). Truck just hit my driveway.

Non a/c cab, with some rust.

NO trans or T-case

I may or may not keep frt axle.

Must post price, so starting at $1000 with no frt axle OR $1500 with dana 60.

It's probably an m1028. Same wheelbase as a single cab long bed chevy.

This is a CIVILIAN k30 with a 6.2.
This is NOT a CUCV.
Not the same wheel base, slightly longer.
IF I remember right its 2 & 1/2 Inches longer.

Most fire departments use CUCV's. When you say it has 4.56's,you'll check for a Detroit, and it has a 6.2, that all sounds like a CUCV. My mistake.

Edit: and I got the name wrong.I meant m1028 not m1008. M1028's had the dual rear wheels.

No problem.

This truck was bought new as a fire truck.

I know what you mean about the 6.2 & 4.56 gears.
Thats why I was trying to make it clear that it isnt a cucv.
It is a J code 6.2 but its 12 volt.
Its a true K30 cab & chassis.

Wasnt trying to come across as rude.

Im having hell with pics right now.

M1028's are just HD m1008's (over load springs) & trac lock

M1028A1 single wheel with an np205
M1028A2 is a dually with an np205
M1028A3 is a dually with an np208

not all 1028's were duallys. mainly the a2/a3 versions and 1031's were dual's.
