... FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...
THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR
* A PORTION OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS... INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES... ATASCOSA... BASTROP... BEXAR... CALDWELL... COMAL... DEWITT... FAYETTE... GONZALES... GUADALUPE... HAYS... KARNES... LAVACA... LEE... TRAVIS... WILLIAMSON AND WILSON.


* THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING


* AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE SLOWLY NORTHEAST ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS TODAY AND TONIGHT. THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM ALOFT WILL BRING BANDS OF HEAVY RAIN ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS AS ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO BE FAVORABLE FOR ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL. RAINFALL TOTALS WILL GENERALLY RANGE FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES. THIS RAINFALL WILL BE OVER THE AREA WHICH RECEIVED EXCESSIVE RAIN WEDNESDAY MORNING AND ANY ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL QUICKLY LEAD TO FLOODING. THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AREA IS SOUTH AND EAST OF A LINE FROM CHARLOTTE IN SOUTHWEST ATASCOSA COUNTY TO HELOTES TO FLORENCE IN NORTHWESTERN WILLIAMSON COUNTY.


* RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 7 TO 11 INCHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED FROM ATASCOSA TO COMAL COUNTIES. RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED FROM HAYS TO WILLIAMSON COUNTIES.
