Hole-in-the-wall eats

Ok, so it isn't exactly wheeling related, but I have yet to meet a 'wheeler who doesn't like to eat. I am just getting tired of the same ole and I am hoping there might be come good places local to me that I have not discovered. So what are some local mom & pop restaurants that you like? What type of food do they serve? Atmosphere? Price (roughly)? Location?

Examples:
La Tuna,
variety on food, but we went for the fish tacos
Atmosphere was outside (some inside), very casual (live bands sometimes)
$7-$15/plate
100 Probandt - a couple miles N of I-10 on West side of street.

Piccolo's Italian
Italian (go figure) Good homemade stuff.
Atmosphere was business casual (owner will tell you when you're having if you take too long)
Maybe $18/plate or so (been a long time)
5703 Evers Rd. Outside 410 on North side of street.

Jalisco De Rodeo
Name says it all - Cheap Mexican food
Very casual
$8/plate
On potranco near Church's Chicken at Dugas Dr.

Come on, these aren't like fishing holes, you can tell us your fail safe's!

I always go to Mexican restaurant somewhere off of Hillcrest next to the NAPA Auto. S.A. Burgers has some good burgers also, and the atmosphere is cool.
