inspection places

anybody know any inspection stations on the north east side that are pretty lenient? i bought an out of state jeep cherokee and need to get it inspected so i can get the green card for it in order to get it titled in my name. i'm in the process of building it up but right now the exhaust has a bad leak and the tires are bald so i don't know of anyplace who would pass it. i can't drive it very far at the moment because the rear end is garbage and the front end needs new u joints and bearings so i doubt it'll make it more then 10 miles 1 way

Not to be an ***, but it is a "safety" inspection.

there's not really anything unsafe that they can fail me for. i have a new axle in the garage waiting on gears to go in and i'm ordering axle seals and u joints and bearings this weekend for the front end. not like they're gonna drive it around the block or anything. brakes work great, i just rebuilt the motor, tranny is in ok shape, i just have a small exhaust leak and bald 205's for tires. as soon as i get my tax return i'm buying new tires for it and i'm prolly gonna take it to a mexican exhaust shop to get a new front pipe bent soon as it's legal to drive

you do know that more than a couple of SA's finest are members here, don't ya.

Fix what it needs then do it legal. Bald tires blow out.. cause wrecks.. etc..

why not wait and get it inspected when it is ready? or did i miss something, you aren't going to be driving it around anyway w/ bald tires.
