* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR... BEXAR COUNTY... WEST CENTRAL COMAL COUNTY... KENDALL COUNTY...


* UNTIL 530 AM CDT.



* AT 232 AM CDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS WESTERN BEXAR COUNTY TO BOERNE AND KENDALIA.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE... BOERNE... SAN ANTONIO... UNIVERSAL CITY... ALAMO HEIGHTS... BERGHEIM... BULVERDE... CALAVERAS LAKE... CHINA GROVE... CROSS MOUNTAIN... ELMENDORF... FAIR OAKS RANCH... GUADALUPE RIVER ST... HELOTES... HILL COUNTRY VILLA... HOLLYWOOD PARK... KIRBY... KREUTZBERG... LACKLAND AFB... LEON SPRINGS... LEON VALLEY... LIVE OAK... NELSON CITY... OLMOS PARK... SEA WORLD... SELMA... SHAVANO PARK... SISTERDALE... SOMERSET... ST. HEDWIG AND TERRELL HILLS.
FLOODING OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS IS LIKELY ESPECIALLY IN URBAN AREAS OR SECONDARY ROADS. 2.95 INCHES OF RAIN WAS REPORTED JUST NORTHWEST OF BOERNE IN ONE AND A HALF HOURS. STORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO TRAIN NORTHWARD ACROSS SAN ANTONIO AND INTO THE BOERNE AREA.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
IT IS HARD TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING AT NIGHT. IF FLOOD WATERS RISE ACT QUICKLY. DO NOT STAY IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS.

WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IN... BEXAR COUNTY... EASTERN GILLESPIE COUNTY... EASTERN LLANO COUNTY... EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN BANDERA COUNTY... KENDALL COUNTY... NORTHEASTERN MEDINA COUNTY... WESTERN BLANCO COUNTY... WESTERN BURNET COUNTY... WESTERN COMAL COUNTY...



* UNTIL 430 AM CDT



* AT 131 AM CDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS HAVE DETECTED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL TRAINING ACROSS THE AREA FROM SAN ANTONIO TO BOERNE TO STONEWALL AND GRANITE SHOALS. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO OCCUR... ESPECIALLY ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND NEAR LOW WATER CROSSINGS. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING INCLUDE... BLANCO... BOERNE... BUCHANAN DAM... CASTROVILLE... KINGSLAND... ROUND MOUNTAIN... SAN ANTONIO... UNIVERSAL CITY... ALAMO HEIGHTS AND ALBERT.



MINOR FLOODING WAS REPORTED JUST NORTHWEST OF BOERNE FROM 1.50 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN 45 MINUTES. ADDITIONAL TRAINING OF CELLS ACROSS THE AREA WILL RESULT IN RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES OVER THE NEXT COUPLE HOURS WHERE STORMS CONTINUE TO TRAIN NORTHWARD.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
